Rogue Valley Plein Air Workshop

Saturday & Sunday  - June 1st & 2nd  Let's paint outside! I will instruct during this 3-day Plein air painting workshop capturing the beautiful Southern Oregon landscape. The rolling hills and vineyards are a stunning setting to paint your masterpiece.  The workshops will cover the fundamental principles of painting and composition with a focus on creating a sense of depth in your work.  Drawing, value, and color, will be used to create paintings with a strong sense of design. Friday evening meet & greet with demos and discussion. On location demos and one on ones.

Painting figures in Perspective

Fridays - May 24th - July 19th (No Class July 5th) - Joins us for a live model photo shoot with appropriate props and attire for this session.  The first class will include a photo session on location in Ashland and a few quick sketches.  Please bring your camera (smart phone), sketchbook, and pencils to start. During the second class, we will review photos and begin work on our studies. The last 6 classes will be spent painting from your photos and sketched references. This will be a new and exciting class with interesting models and costumes that I am sure will inspire the muse in all of us

COLOR COURSE

Fridays - March 15th - May 10th (No Class May 3rd) Let's Look at Things Differently.  The focus of this term will be on using color in a way that is both powerful and harmonious.  By shifting our perspective on how we see and use color just a bit, we can create scintillating pallets with rich and dynamic color while retaining a strong sense of sophistication and cohesion.

Heading to the National Society Of Illustrators in NYC.

Gabriel Lipper will be in Manhattan on January 11th at the National Society of Illustrators where one of his pieces will be on display and included in its 61st-anniversary publication. The Society of Illustrators will be presenting the premier showcase for illustrators, featuring the most outstanding works created throughout the year.
